He said he thought the French leader had been "very disrespectful" to other alliance members.
"It is a very, very nasty statement. I think they have a very high unemployment rate in France. France is not doing well economically at all," he said.

My comments:
There is nothing to do with French economy! It is not because France is poor (assumingly) that they can not speak up! Having a partner like Trump is really tiring.

Interesting, isn't it?

Very interesting to know that both Plato (427-347 BC) and Confucius (551-479 BC) valued virtue as one of the ultimate quality of leaders and rulers.
Plato demonstrated that to be good, the state has to be ruled by the virtuous who appreciate wisdom, piety and above all justice.
Following Plato the best having these virtues are philosophers. So philosophers are the best rulers. If ever philosophers are willing enough to be rulers (my thought). So Plato thought that educating kings could be also a solution.
However Plato's approach can lead to totalitarianism where leaders think of themselves as the best elitists and detached themselves from real life.
And the virtues as in Confucius and Plato have nothing to do with religion or Creator. They are very human based.
